The basic family of G. Fred Hill and Minnie Iola Higgins consisted of
ten children, six boys and four girls. The oldest was born in 1911 and
the youngest in 1931. Growing up on a farm with chores to do together
made us a close knit family which has carried over through these many
years. The spouses of the married couples became an integral part of
our intertwined life. "Home" was the place often visited and the
central focus for the holidays.
Our parents died in 1967. We were aware that we still wanted to continue our close relationship so we formed an organization, The Fred & Minnie Hill Association, agreeing to meet twice a year. With births and marriages we have become a large clan sustaining our pride in our heritage and treasuring the joy of kinship. The advent of the computer has provided us with the opportunity of making dates concerning our family easily available to each of us. The main purpose of the web site is to enhance our unity and closeness as a family.
