Minutes for the December 2003 Meeting of the Fred and Minnie Hill Association.

On Sunday, December 28, 2003, the Fred & Minnie Hill Association held its winter meeting at The Barbeque Place in Rutherfordton, NC.

There were 29 family members present and 4 guests. In Attendance:

Don – 2

Beatrice Hill Biddix was the host for the meeting and called the meeting to order.

There was some discussion about the time of the December meeting because some can never make a Sunday meeting at 1 p.m. It was agreed that the next meeting would be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 26, 2004.

After some discussion, Yates Hill was elected President of the Association and Brad Hill, Vice President. Officers will serve for two (2) years.

Helen Jacobs agreed to order flowers when there is a death or sickness in the family but she stated that she will rely on Ann or Bea to notify her as to when this needs to be done.

The business meeting was discontinued while we all enjoyed our dinner. Yates said the blessing.

After dinner, the business meeting continued. All thanked Beatrice for her generous and gracious hosting of the meeting.

According to the June 2003 minutes, the June 2004 meeting will be at the home of Helen Jacobs and James and Edith Wright. Helen has the option of using the Piedmont Clubhouse for the meeting if the weather is threatening.

Joann Hill Goodrick spoke a few words expressing the loss we all feel at Reid’s death and what he meant to all of us.

A collection of $128 was taken.

The group sang, “Blest be the Tie That Binds” and the meeting was adjourned.
